One minute cards

Today we watched Mr. Maker on Treehouse, and there he does a project in one minute... And it's always at the last minute that you have to make a card (I know it's not just me). So these are my one minute cards for today :D

This card is based on this Christmas card, but it's not done with MDS and sent out to print... You can make many Christmas cards with the Simply Scrappin' Kit  -  Christmas Jingle. The real work here was using the Scallop Edge punch :D

I had a little accident with one of the Elegant Notes... So, I used it as stencil, I sponged some Chocolate Chip ink, added a tiny bit of Night of Navy card stock at the bottom, some grosgrain ribbon, and the "thank you" from the set Thank You Kindly.

Just a simple card for the weekend... Did you stamp today? :D

Baby Mojo

I need a card for a new baby girl, so I took this week's Mojo sketch, that goes well with Nursery Necessities, and made an easy-to-recreate card with some embellishments:

One last swap card...

The paper has the same colour as my bag, so I didn't see it! Oops! Better late than never :D This is Angela's card. Stamped with the set Branch Out, and the words come from the set All Holidays.

The card stock is Not Quite Navy and Almost Amethyst... We were all surprised to see how well they go together :D So now you have a new colour combo to try!

Weekend swap #3

Here are the last cards from the cottage weekend.

Debbie made us stamp Dasher with shimmer paint, and while it's still wet we put some clear embossing powder and the result is nice... although difficult to see here... so you'll have to try it at home.

Sue gave us gold embossing powder for Dasher, and she used the Scallop Circle #2 die

And this one when you open it, it looks like this:

Janice made a "Z" card, using the Big Shot for the white circle and the snowflake. The stamp is from Big On Christmas

With Tanya we had to do almost nothing, because she had already stamped the trees from Patterned Pines, we just had to cut them out.

Sharlene used an acetate as template to do the round ornament. Using Serene Snowflakes... and guess what? I don't know where the words came from... so hopefully she'll tell me, and I'll let you know :D or if you know, let me know too. ETA: I know the name of the set: Christmas Punch, it's a Hostess set, Level 2)

Weekend swap #2

More cards from the weekend...Last week at this time we were already there, on Friday night we go out for dinner... I think the restaurant employees get scared when they see us come in, we're too many and loud :D 

 
Lena used pop cans! Open them, run them through your Big Shot (here we used the Petals-A-Plenty embossing folder) And punch it! (In this case with the Ornament Punch) You'll be sharpening your punches too! Just be careful.

Bonnie gave us the material to make this card using the set Winter Post. It's difficult to see but we pierced a circle on the Real Red piece. The paper is the Bridesmaid Specialty

Joanna reminded us that a card doesn't have to be elaborated to be nice... The Snow Swirled set is a great option for beginners or advanced stampers! Just use your punches and embellishments and forget about buying cards!

I hope this inspires you to make your own cards this year... If you need anything to re-create these cards, my store is open 24/7.

Weekend swap #1

I think I can talk for all of us, when I say that we had a great weekend. We laughed a lot, and ate too much, but everything was delicious! (like Julian would say)...

 
 ...and we did crazy things, but we also stamped a lot :D

 

Here are some cards that we did: 

Miaco's card gave us time to make good use of our scissors with the Cold & Cuddly set, and thank God for the Ornament Punch that goes with the Delightful Decorations set, otherwise we would still be there :D Just kidding... I like this card because I hadn't try this step fold before; and there's Dazzling Diamonds on the icebergs.

  

I like Vicki's card because of the colours. The set is the popular Patterned Pinesfrom the Hostess Benefits inside the Holiday Mini Catalogue, and we used Whisper White Craft Ink. The Petals-A-Plenty embossing folder for the Big Shot, makes the perfect background!

 
 Kathy made us emboss the tree from Season of Joy with Iridescent Ice, and two wheels for the background:

I'll post more cards later, my computer should be here soon, and apparently I didn't lose any information... I haven't forgotten about the prizes from the little give away, so stay tuned :D

From the computer to my hands

I got my MDS cards. They come open, scored and with envelopes. Very well packed, so don't worry, they won't get damaged during the trip.

This one I made from a template in the software, I just changed the words, and decorated the inside... to make it a trilingual birthday card :D It doesn't matter where the birthday is... the card is ready!

The front bottom part and the inside are made with one of the Torn Edges stamp, that I like so much:

Christmas card, also from a template... I just made some changes, and made the inside:

You can add photos to your cards, there are bigger sizes if you want to make your own Christmas photo cards, or any type of announcements. 

This is how the back of all the cards look like, you can't make changes here, but you can stamp your name, so they know who designed it (we have personalized stamps too) :

Pines for the cottage

It's that weekend we were all waiting for... Diva Cottage Weekend :D And although we all go to rest, we also need a little stamping therapy, this is my card for the shoe box swap:

When I was making this card, and the other ones of its style previously posted, I had a flashback to my school days, because these were the colours of my uniform :D The stamp set is Patterned Pines, (and for the words I used Deseos Pequeñitos) The ribbon is from the Mistletoe package. The DSP is Christmas Cocoa Specialty. Ink: Real Red and Chocolate Chip.

MDS for drafts

I made the draft on MDS, and then I went to do it with real paper... I still wasted some paper, because I lost the Chocolate Chip piece for the scallop punch, so I had to cut a new one :D Using the set Thought & Prayers, here's the result:

And my computer is not ready yet... so I used the old fashioned watermark on wood :D

 
 

I just added wide Old Olive ribbon, I pierced the Kraft piece, and mounted it all on Chocolate Chip.
