Simply elegant

After seeing the video done by Kimberly Van Diepen, using the stencils and the stencil paste... I had to try it... Now I want more stencils :D  I'm sure you do too... I don't think I'll use them on my walls, the Decor Elements are much easier to use... but for things like this... oh my!

I didn't find the same stencil paste as her, but I found this at the craft store, and it worked just fine:

 

And the notebook comes from Chapters... I cheated and I didn't want to use my Stampin' Up! one, but as soon as I get the new stencil, I'll do my SU notebook... The nice surprise of buying it in Chapters is that I got 250 extra points for my SCENE card... that means, that adding it up to what I already had I can now go to the movies for free :D  Have you seen the new New Moon trailer?  ;)

 

I just added the ribbon and the beads from the Pretties Kit. I used the Tombow to adhere the pearls. I sponged the paste with Regal Rose, but just a little bit. The notebook is sponged with Chocolate Chip ink.

Gift box

I just have to find what I want to put inside :)  The result is nice, it's just a bit time consuming, but it was fun to make.

 

 

 

The DSP is Sweet Always, and the ribbon and the card stock are Regal Rose. The inside is regular Whisper White card stock

Mom's bracelet

Here's the bracelet I made for my mom:

I made hers in brown/amber colours, with golden hardware, and with a touch of white (with the pearls). With a big heart in the middle :D

Card and a bracelet

Here's another card from the Got Kids? swap, made by Tanya Morose, it uses the Wild About You stamp set, in-colour card stock and ink (Pacific Point, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and Tangerine Tango) . What I like of this card is that she didn't use black ink for the words, but Basic Gray, and it gives a softer touch.

 

Now, for a little change of topic, I can show you the bracelet I did for myself, just because I added a Filigree Designer Brad, and some beads from my Pretties Kit, so, I'm sure you have seen a lot of jewelry made with Stampin' Up! products

including Make a Brad or any of the rhinestone brads.

I like pink :)  I made two smaller ones for my nieces in Belgium, also in pink, and my mom will get one too, but hers will be in the amber colour range

3x3 Squares - Vote and win!

We're having a 3x3 square swap.  I'll make 16 squares, and when I exchange them, I'll put them together in a shadow box, like the one in the catalogue on page 161.  You can download the catalogue from www.stampinup.com

Here's where you come in... You have to help me decide which design to make, to be sure the other Divas will like them.

Square 1:

 

All the squares use the same principal, they will all be done on textured Old Olive card stock, rub-ons, ribbon, clear rhinestone brads and flowers.

This one has felt flowers in Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, and Old Olive

Square 2:

 

In this square I just changed the colour of the felt flowers: Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette and Chocolate Chip

Square 3:

 

In this square the flowers are made with the Big Shot, using the Birds & Blooms Sizzlits Die, the flower is raised with dimensionals (the sticky foam to pop-up things ;)  )

And I added rub-ons to the ribbon.

Christmas ornaments. Part 2

I made 11 ornaments, not all the same, and I didn't take pictures of all... still suffering from "mommy brain" :)  But I used the Trinkets On Board Ornaments, that you can see on page 14 of the Holiday Mini Catalogue (link on sidebar)

And I got 10 ornaments back, I'll share some of them with you:

Miaco did this one, also using the Trinket, and lots of Fine Cosmo Glitter, which in my experience, it's also the never ending kind of glitter, and you get it in a set of 5 colours.

Sue decorated this Christmas ball with vinyl, runned through the Big Shot

Suzie made this bag in a box, and inside was her ornament made with beads, very nice...

Tanya made this one, also using the Big Shot, the die is called Bird w/ leaves & flower, Pretties Kit, and beads.

Oops, it was officially yesterday, but I wanted to save this post for today... So, happy birthday, mom!

She's also crafty, she sews, she loves to stamp too, and now she does stained glass (not easy, not cheap, but so nice), and last year she brought me these beautiful butterflies, that are hanging in my dining room, sorry, craft room...
