Fifth Avenue layout

 

The flowers are coloured with the ink refills technique, that I'm sure you know by now... I've seen it on Patty Bennett's blog.  You'll need Shimmery White card stock available with the number 101910, no other card stock works for this technique... and don't forget your aqua painters (103954).

 

Stamp set: Baroque Motifs, and Fifth Avenue Floral. Card stock: Certain Celery, Always Artichoke, Regal Rose

 

 

Everything you see is available at my store for your convenience... you don't have to leave home ;)

Scrappin' Mojo

Besides making scrapbook pages with your Simply Scrappin' Kit, you can do some cards too... Using the sketch from Mojo Monday, I made a no-ink card with the kit Love Sparkles:

 

As extras you may need, like in this case, Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon and dimensionals, or even some of the Square Fire Rhinestone brads, now on sale (not in picture)

 

Or maybe just a quick, no-ink card (this one doesn't follow the sketch):

 

Whatever you decide to do with your Kit, the results will be always fantastic! (and this is a word I don't use much)... You know where to find them!

Circles of love

Suzie will have to correct me here... I think the original idea came from Bonnie... In the meanwhile these are the pages that my mom and I did on Friday.

 

I'm using the Simply Scrappin' Kit Love Sparkles, available at my store with the number 113918. The colours of the kit are Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, So Saffron, and Whisper White

 

You'll need all your circle punches too.

Remember that you can also make cards with these kits.

Butterfly pages

Suzie gave us the layout for these pages, and we could work with any colours that we wanted, and this is my version:

 

 

As base I used 12" x 12" Very Vanilla Textured card stock, plus Going Gray, Kiwi Kiss, and Cameo Coral card stock, the designer paper is from Walk in the Park.

The set is Flight of the Butterflies, and I stamped one of the outlined images as background, but to avoid to much ink (Baja Breeze) I stamped off first.

 

I hope this inspires you to stamp some butterflies today!  You can find this set and more butterflies directly in my store.

What better way to end the National Scrapbooking Month that with a page. The idea for it comes from this template that I had previously shown you.

 

Stamp set: Enjoy Every Moment, Totally Tabs

Card stock: Not Quite Navy 12" x 12", Old Olive, Very Vanilla

Inks: Not Quite Navy, Versamark, Old Olive marker

Extras: Circle Scissor Plus, Real Red grosgrain ribbon, White embossing powder, Round tab and circle punches, dimensionals

 

Tiny detail: maybe it's a good idea to write the year the picture was taken on the back. Some places do print the year, but older pictures, and this one apparently, don't have it... So I just wrote 199?

This page goes into my own album... the one about only "me"  :D

Get a template

Now that you have the pictures, and the album. You may also want to use a template or sketch. In a sense it's easier to do a page or card if you have a one, don't you think so? Specially for us, beginners, so now that we're in the Scrapbooking Month, try doing something with this one:

This sketch comes from the Stampin' Up! website... but just on the demonstrator side... it's another world in there, it's loaded :)  Don't worry, I'll do something with this sketch too... If you don't want to scrapbook, try making it into a card ;)

Start with an album

Now that I have my first page done, it's always good if you have where to put it... The quality of a Stampin' Up! album is incredible.  The fabric has been pretreated with a stain-resistant coating. And it includes 10 page protectors.

This is the 12" x 12" Navy ring album, decorated with the Decor Elements Flower Finesse (Level 1 Hostess Benefits). 

 

 

As easy as it is to put the DE on your wall, car, furniture... it's not so easy on the linen.  It was not sticking... so with all the patience of the world, I ended up transferring it from the transfer sheet to the cover with my finger and once it was on the album I pressed hard, and it's fine now.  Let's see how long it lasts... I'll let you know.

But rub-ons work great too... This album has been around for over a year, and Julian likes to look at it a lot!

  

So, some flowers have suffered a little, and the second "m" too... But they're still there. 

You can also use the new stencils to decorate the cover...

Esta soy yo

Quote of the month: Remember, every oak tree was once an acorn. 

I'm starting a new album, and it's all about me, that's why my DH calls it the "selfish album" :D 

And while I become an oak tree, the acorn has to start somewhere, so this time after some suggestions from Suzie... which I didn't follow too well, I did this page :D 

 

The text is a self description, and it reads as follows: inteligente, linda, simpatica, esta soy yo  :D  I like to write in my still acorn handwriting, but as the years go by, is nice to see how it changes...

 

I used the Sticky Letters, Chunky glitter and to cover the spaces I added Fine glitter... Make sure you protect the area where you're working I had the small Powder Pal...  but I think Suzie still has glitter on her table :D  The paper is from Sweet SlumberSpecialty DSP (on sale during May).

Feel free to contact me for any glitter needs that you may have ;)  And try mixing the different glitters for a different colour or effect.

Brag book

Using the set Thoughts & Prayers, and the rub-ons from Fashion District, I made this clear envelope brag book.

  

The sketch comes from the Weekend Sketch Challenge #79

The base is Riding Hood Red, and the Whisper White panel is mounted on Chocolate Chip card stock. The Pink Pirouette piece went through the Big Shot with a Texturz plate. And the flowers from Flower Fusion Too give the final touch. The Jumbo Eyelets hold everything together.

 

Oh, and I just coloured the stamp with markers... :)
